Founded in 1852 by Domingo Ghirardelli, the company has become synonymous with delectable chocolates, making its mark not only in the world of confections but also in the hearts of San Francisco Bay Area locals.

Step into this 5,985-square-foot haven and witness the magic of chocolate-making as Ghirardelli chocolatiers craft their signature hot fudge from only three ingredients: pure Ghirardelli chocolate, milk, and vanilla. The store’s redesign is a celebration of the brand’s historical ties to San Francisco while embracing a fresh and vibrant 21st-century look. Led by Eight Inc., the renowned Bay Area design firm responsible for Apple’s sleek retail stores, the new design aims to bring customers closer to the chocolate-making experience.

For the first time, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company will create fresh chocolate bars right in the store, inviting customers to witness the behind-the-scenes process. As you explore the space, you’ll discover the brand’s largest Pick & Mix assortment, offering up to 40 different flavors of signature chocolate squares during the holidays, allowing you to personalize your own tin of delights.

Justin Reese, VP of Retail and eCommerce at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, expressed the excitement for the new experience, stating, “It’s one of the most iconic places in San Francisco, but we realized our retail there was in need of a refresh.”
